United Electric Controls 12 Series pressure switches have been approved to be marked as Dual Seal Devices by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL). All 12 Series pressure models with adjustable set point ranges to 4500 psig comply with the necessary requirements of ANSI/ISA 12.27.01 for process sealing between electrical systems and flammable or combustible process fluids. The Dual Seal marking is standard on appropriate 12 Series pressure models and in addition to the cULus Class I, Div. 1 approval and ATEX Ex d flameproof compliance. The cUL file card E40857 will be updated to reflect the Dual Seal compliance and serve as third-party agency documentation certificate.
The following 12 Series pressure models are covered as Dual Seal Devices:
- Sensor type 2: models A to G
- Sensor type 3 & 4: models A to G; not available model H
- Sensor type 5 & 6: models A to G; not available model H
- Sensor type 7: models A to D
- Sensor type 8: models A to G
- Sensor type 9: models A to C
- Sensor type P: models 1 to 2 and 6 to 7; not available models 3, 4, 8, & 9
*Please note that 12 Series differential pressure switch models and temperature models are not Dual Seal Devices.
